I need to ask

What does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?

What shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, but lose his soul?

What is a good life really worth if you end up lost forever?

Don't let your pursuit of happiness take precedence over the fate of your soul.

What value is a good life, if, in the end, you lose your soul?

This is the question Jesus asked.

As a pastor, it's my job to remind us of this.

If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.
