Asking the wrong questions...

Updated: Jun 4, 2022

Ask the wrong questions and the answers won't matter.

Boethius posed his two famous questions while awaiting his execution on false charges of treason.

It is at Church where we confront questions like the ones that Boethius asked above:

  1. Am I my brother's keeper?

  2. What is love?

  3. How can I be saved?

  4. Why, O God, do the evil prosper?

  5. If Christ is for us, who can be against us?

  6. What does it profit someone to gain the whole world if they forfeit their soul?

  7. What happens when we die?

  8. What is my true identity?

  9. Are we here by accident?

  10. Does history have a purpose?

  11. Is there more to life than "eat, drink, and be merry"?

  12. What is truth?

  13. And what about you, who do you say that the Son of Man is?

Now do we understand why the Church is so important? It’s because, in the end, if you ask the wrong questions, the answers don’t matter.
